My Book Review of All I’ve Never Wanted
Wow, to be honest I didn’t know what I was getting into when I signed up to review this book, I thought oh this will be a quick read that might be a little entertaining. Well let me just say on the day I finished it I was so sad when I got in bed and no longer had more to read in this book! It was filled with entertaining humor, drama… no make DRA-MA and romance. One thing that might not be for everyone is that there are many characters and so many things going on, at moments I felt myself wonder what does this have to do with anything but it all comes together as if the author was spinning a spider wed with many strings that are all connected in the end. I loved this aspect of the book, I felt like it was a whole season worth of drama and romance from the lasted CW TV show, which is my guilty pleasure. This book is a cross between Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast then thrown in the the rich spoiled world of Gossip Girl. The main character Maya (our cinderella) is a scholarship student at a very prestigious and pretentious high school. The Scions are the richest guys in school and the best looking by far. Roman Fiori (our beast) is the egotistical leader of the pack and of course the best looking guy anyone has ever seen, Parker Remington is the player, Zack Perry (my favorite character) is the hyper show boater, and Carlo Tevasco is the most down to earth. Early in the book I felt as if it was going to be very predictable but entertaining. As I read more the author threw me off and I really had no idea where it was going or who would end up with who which drew me in more. When Maya starts interacting with the Scions and even becomes friends with them she learns not to judge people so quickly, they are not always what they seem… well except for Roman Fiori who she still hates. I rated this book a 4.5 of 5 because while I did not want to put it down there was one scene late in the book when I though enough drama get on with it but I really loved it and the book highly entertaining. I stayed up till 2 AM reading one night.
