Book Review: Go Ahead & Like It

Go Ahead and Like It

We like it, heart it, retweet it, and pin it… In the world full of social media we have many ways to express that we like things but are we really thinking about things that make us happy and give us amusement?

In the book Go Ahead & Like It, author Jacqueline Suskin shares about her practice of jotting down list of things that delight her. These list maybe range from very random to things that might have been around her in that moment. Each list starts with “I Like” and includes things such as black ink, naps, key lime pie, and first light.

Suskin invites readers to start making their own list and gives examples of when and how to write list. She encourages readers to think about things that make them happy or feel delighted.

Favorite Parts:

I love that Suskin uses  the simple concept of list making to really think about the things around her that bring a smile to her face. I also enjoyed the photos and the scrapbook style layout of the book, they make it a cool book to leave out on coffee table.

4 of 5

Overall I give this book a 4 of 5. It was a quick and simple read. I like that it encourages readers to think about things that make them happy.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review. All opinions are my own.
