Thrifting, while nothing new, has been on the uprise. With hit songs like Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, thrifting has become a cool and fun thing to do. People of all ages and social status are hitting the thrift stores in search of cool and unique items. Sandy Donovan’s book Thrift Shopping is full of thrifting tips such as where to shop, what to look for, and up-cycling items. The book is a quick read with 6 chapters and 67 pages. Want to plan a thrifting outing with your friends? Donovan has some tips for you in her book.

Who would I Recommend this book to?

This book would be great for a novice thrifter. If you have been wanting to try your hand at thrift shopping give this book a read for some good tips.

Favorite Parts:

The book introduced me to some online thrift shops that I am excited to check out. Also, I loved the up-cycling chapter. There are some really good ideas for redoing thrifted items.

Dislikes:
I did feel as though some of the information was common sense but that maybe because I have been thrifting for a while now.

Overall this book was a quick enjoyable read and I did pick up a few tips. It made me want to hit the thrift stores ASAP. I give it a 3 out of 5.
