Participating in blog swaps is one of my favorite new things. It is such a great way to connect with another blogger plus you get fun goodies in the mail! I am such a kid when I am expecting a package…. I track it and I constantly peek out the window when I think I hear the mailman. The Favorite Color swap is the second swap I have done with Chaotic Goddess Swaps (the first was the Books and Bloggers Swap). For this swap each set or partners shared their favorite colors and were encourage to get to know each other in order to put together an awesome package with at least 5 items totaling $20-$30.
My partner was the awesomely talented Jessica from Living La Vida Holoka. She blogs about life, recipes and DIY projects. I had a great time putting together her package with her favorite colors of deep burgundy and royal blue.
First I spotted this scarf that had both colors so I had to include it. Jessica mentioned she likes nail polish in these colors so I found this velvet finish nail polish, I have never tried it but it sounds cool. I also included a few things I consider staple nicknacks that many creative people like, fun paper pad, ink and letter stamps and washi tape.
It was really late when I had discovered my package… I had been gone all day shooting a wedding in the HOT Georgia heat. When I got home I went right to bed. However I could not sleep, I started feeling bad, dehydrated so I went to the kitchen and thats when I saw it. I was so excited I opened it right away and felt much better 🙂
When I first unwrapped the box I could see confetti coming out the seams. I was excited and also a little scared that a confetti bomb was about to go off … of course it didn’t!
Jessica really spoiled me with the awesome things in my box. My favorite color changes with the wind but right now I love things with gold. I first pulled out the drawstring bag which I love. This will be so great for the pool or any outing with the baby. I can’t wait to get into the fun creamy crayons, I have never used them before. Of course I love glitter gold washi tape too.
The other fun things are the glitter mask and nail file which I am excited to use for an at home spa day, while eating my Gummi Bears. The air freshener is going in my car asap, which is starting to smell like stale baby puffs. The gold shell will find a home somewhere on a display shelf or mantel.
