Wait what is going on?! Baby’s First Birthday!!! I’m not sure how in the world it has been one year that Chris and I have had the pleasure of being parents to Ali. It seems just like yesterday I held her for the first time in the hospital. This would be the point at which I turn into our parents… they really were not lying when they used that phrase.
All week long I will be featuring some birthday party tips and DIYs as I get ready for ultimate cake smashing event. There will be some behind the scenes videos of how I made some of the birthday decor that I showed during my Silhouette Takeover week, as well as, Ali’s DIY birthday outfit, whats on the menu and more fun stuff!
Today I will kick things off with some great first birthday gift ideas for the little one in your life!
First Birthday Gift Ideas!
These cute cars are a classic and can be found in a variety of colors. The Cozy Coupe includes special features like an “ignition switch,” an open-and-close gas cap, removable floor and handle on back for parent-controlled push rides. It will be tons of fun for any toddler.
Radio Flyer 4 in 1 Trike
Take your child for a stroll with the Radio Flyer Trike. The trike converts from a stroller to a steering trike, learning-to-ride-trike, and finally a classic trike. This is a great “grow with me” toy that babies and toddlers can enjoy for years.
If you have not seen the Rockabye Rockers please take a look at them now as they are adorable. These plush rockers come in a variety of styles from classic rocking horses, to a variety of animals, to a pirate ship and princess carriage. My nephew got the Colt Pony rocker and loved it.
This is another gift my nephew enjoyed playing with. Kids love to crawl through things and it is a great motor skills development tool. The tunnel can be folded up and stored away when not in use.
Not only does every kid seem to love blocks but I think they are also a great learning activity for toddlers.
First Word Books
I am a big fan of books for any age. We have been reading to Ali since she was born and she loves to play with books. She flips the pages and babbles. First word books are great for one year olds as they will begin to learn more words.
