I love to have craft projects and I love to re-purpose things. While visiting my mom recently, I grabbed this rod iron table she was getting rid of. I wanted to make a drink station to have our on our deck for summer barbecues.
First I spray painted the rod iron table a warm cream and let it all dry over night. Then I laid a piece of plywood that was cut to the same size as the table on top and painted a black base coat. After it dried, I added a top coat of chalkboard paint.
It has been great for any kind of gathering we have here at the house. I recommend laying out everything before you write with chalk, I found I was rearranging and erasing a lot doing it one at a time. I use a damp rag to erase when I am ready to write something new.
